KYE MONASTERY

TNAGYUD GOMPA

KUNGRI GOMPA

This monastery is the second oldest monastery in Spiti, located near pin valley. Kungri Gompa is a monastery of significant importance and it received a large foreign donation for its renovation.

DHANKAR

Dhankar is the official capital of Spiti. This Dhankar monastery was strategically built. To safe Spiti from the aggression of its neighbors this monastery was built to be alert in case of any attack from neighbors.
