Kaziranga National Park opens its gates for visitors from November to April, which is generally the most comfortable time to explore the forests and spot wildlife. Toward the end of the season, especially from February to April, the grasslands dry up and animals tend to gather around water bodies, making sightings more frequent.
The park usually remains closed during the monsoon, May to October, when heavy rains cause waterlogging across the landscape and most roads and safari routes become inaccessible.
Jeep safari hours in Kaziranga slightly depend on the time of year:
Morning safari: 7:00 am - 9:30 am
Evening safari: 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
If you enjoy that cool breeze and fresh air grazing your skin, then the morning safari is the best time. In contrast, the evening safari is special because of that magical golden glow of the sunset.
Kaziranga jeep safari rates vary based on the range you are selecting and the number of guests joining you on the safari. The typical Jeep ride is about ₹3,000 - ₹4,500 per jeep. A jeep can accommodate 4 to 6 guests (max).
In addition, the camera fee for taking photos and for foreign guests, there are entry fees (a separate fee), but it still makes the jeep safari ride worth it.

Kaziranga consists of four ranges, which are, of course, all different:
This is the most well-known and the best range for doing a jeep safari. You will safely see lots of rhinos and deer.
Known for elephant herds and open grasslands, and wildlife photography.
Full of birds, and if lucky, you might spot a tiger!
A less-used area, with some hilly and dense forest.
If it is your first time, the Central and Western Range offer the best jeep safari in Kaziranga.
